Born From Crisis

The Safety Net Coalition for Everyone was born out of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis we faced in March 2020.

2021
Governor Newsom Steps Up

Governor Newsom stepped up and introduced the Golden State stimulus proposal. Our coalition pushed to demand more funding be made available.

Safety Net 4 All Introduced

We introduced, for the first time, a bill that would end the exclusion of immigrant workers who lack access to unemployment insurance.

We March for Workers

We led a march in Sacramento of over a thousand coalition members across the state of California.

Governor Newsom Fails Workers

The bill reached the governor's desk and was vetoed by Governor Newsom.

We Refocus on the Fight

The Safety Net for All Coalition focused the year in internal growth, sharpening our analysis and preparing for our relaunch.
